Expedition

Hermes Mega Catamaran was specially designed to explore the Galapagos Islands and offer you a close encounter with nature, and our itineraries include at least two archipelago highlights per route. In this manner, you visit the most remote sites on the Enchanted Islands and observe species making these the best place for wildlife on Earth.
On land, two experienced naturalist guides escort small groups, up to 10 guests, during the excursions. You have a closer interaction with them, and they have time to give you a more in-depth explanation to your questions. You can find walking sticks in your suite in case you need them for this activity.
Hermes is also fully equipped to offer you memorable moments in the water. We have wetsuits and snorkeling equipment available in all sizes to jump in the water and play with the unique marine wildlife of the Galapagos. You also have kayaks and SUPs available for a different experience in one of the most pristine waters in the planet. Otherwise, you can observe marvelous sea turtles, playful sea lions, or any other marine specie from our glass bottom boat if you prefer to avoid the water.

  • Whether on land on in the water, you must always have your camera ready to take pictures of stunning landscapes.

Consequently, a renowned Ecuadorian Chef designed a signature menu that you can only have aboard Hermes. It fuses traditional Ecuadorian food, local flavors and ingredients and global inspiration. You will taste this delicious recipes not only for breakfast, lunch, dinner, but also during on the snacks after every excursion.
The culinary experience aboard Hermes goes beyond your palate, as you actually learn how to prepare tasty Ecuadorian dishes. Our chef teaches you the ingredients needed and the process you must follow in order to prepare these ancestral dishes.
Hermes offers several spaces where you can enjoy this exquisite cuisine. A spacious dining room, located on the upper deck, offers you stunning views of the Galapagos while you eat. The sun deck has an amazing al-fresco dining area equipped with a barbeque grill.

Hermes Mega Catamaran’s 15-member crew has one objective in mind throughout your Galapagos cruise, pampering you like never before. Our butler lead this through his personalized service to guarantee you have everything you have dreamed of for this journey. He also assists you with laundry in case you need to clean something.

A cruise director complements his service by organizing the crew and making sure all your needs and preferences are fulfilled. He is also a bridge to communicate your messages to crew members. 

We want you to enjoy Hermes and the Galapagos Islands from the moment you step on the archipelago. Our crew offers guarantees this with our unpacking service. We will take care of your suitcases from the moment you walk out of the Galapagos airport. We will take them to your suite and unpack them for you. Your walk in closet will be ready by the time you walk into your suite. 

Pampering aboard Hermes Mega Catamaran goes beyond our crew service. Our vessel is equipped to complement it with a private jacuzzi in each one of the suites where you can relax and enjoy a romantic moment with a bottle of champagne while observing the beautiful landscapes of the Enchanted Islands. In addition, our spa has a hammam where you can unwind, and a masseuse gives the massage of your preference

 
There is also a social jacuzzi on the sundeck where you can be pampered by our crew members while sharing time with your travel group.

Hermes Mega Catamaran experience includes all drinks from our premium drink menu. Bartenders will prepare your favorite cocktail, or serve you a bottle of beer or a glass of wine at any time. You will find two bars aboard Hermes, one in the check-in area on the main deck and one in the covered area of the sun deck. Furthermore, the aperitif lounge on the upper deck is a great place to enjoy a drink either before or after the cruise. You can ask our crew members to bring your drink to your favorite spot on the vessel.
On top of enjoying our drinks, you learn how to prepare traditional cocktails from Latin America aboard Hermes. Our bartenders will show you how to prepare the most famous drinks of the region, so that you can prepare them for your friends at home.

Hermes Mega Catamaran is the perfect complement for your land excursions and snorkeling sessions, as it offers great observation areas, informational material, and interesting videos to deepen your knowledge about the Galapagos Islands, and all the sciences available on them.
Hermes’ boarding platform is a comfortable space to sit and observe marine wildlife from the boat. The observation deck in the front part of the sun deck is the ideal spot to fall in love and take pictures of the stunning Galapagos landscapes or to look for birds flying over the boat. Of course, you can also stay in your suite and enjoy the wonderful view available from both, the balcony and the jacuzzi, in them.
Hermes’ library has the latest scientific books where you can contrast our guides’ information or solve any doubt that came to your mind during the hikes or in the water. It will be a quiet area to read and concentrate on this topic or on any book of your preference.
Our two social lounges are equipped with large flat screen TVs where you can learn more about the Galapagos Islands with the videos available for you. Our guides can recommend you the video that works best to solve your doubts about a topic.
